Brilliant animated short

Check out this new animated short from Moonbot studios, the article from CGsociety is also an interesting read.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore

Cool Projection mapping

Found this company that specialise in projection mapping. They animate on walls, cars and even entire buildings. Some very clever use of reflections to create the illusion of motion on this audi A1

Father VS Son

Another very cool animation by Patrick Boivin…

Beautiful Origami

Paper architecture, or  ”Origamic architecture involves the three-dimensional reproduction of architecture, geometric patterns, everyday objects, or other images, on various scales, using cut-out and folded paper” (Wikipedia)

Professor Masahiro Chatani’s sculptures have inspired many others to use paper as a means of communicating an architectural form. I love the sheer level of detail that is possible from one piece of paper.

Tis the season

This huge 33 foot Christmas tree made from Lego appeared overnight. A nice bit of viral marketing.

Movember Photoshop

Just a quick Photoshop that I felt needed doing after seeing the photoshoot pictures for movember.

Power up the synthesizers and queue 80's soundtrack!

Hyperrealistic Superheroes

More visual inspiration to whet your appetite. These highly detailed paintings of trapped superheroes are really cool.

Remote Controlled Madness

This Remote Controlled Car described as ”the world’s fastest ready-to-race radio-controlled supercar,” can do 0-100mph in under 5 seconds! The Traxxas XO-1 also looks quite tasty.

Dear Santa …

Movember!!

Movember has come to an end at last, and so too have our itching faces!! One of our party is sporting a hastily constructed ‘flavour saver’ due to his evasive movember tactics earlier in the month. No names shall be mentioned. We salute all you Movember men out there, and if anyone would like to donate to the cause here is the link http://uk.movember.com/donate/

Inamo Interactive Restaurant

http://www.inamo-restaurant.com/pc/gallery-videos.php#!prettyPhoto/0/

Had the chance to visit the Inamo restaurant in Soho London at the weekend, its projected interactive tables made the dining experience seriously fun. You could play games on your interactive table, change the look and style of the projected patterns on it, as well as browsing the entire menu, previewing dishes by projecting them on the plate in front of you. Whenever you were fancied something, you could just add it to your order and the waiter would bring it as soon as it was ready, well worth the trip to check it out.
